First results of the Piton de la Fournaise STRAP 2015 experiment: multidisciplinary tracking of a volcanic gas and aerosol plume

Abstract. The STRAP (Synergie Transdisciplinaire pour Répondre aux Aléas liés aux Panaches volcaniques) campaign was conducted in 2015 to investigate the volcanic plumes of Piton de La Fournaise (La Réunion, France). For the first time, measurements at the local (near the vent) and at the regional scales around the island were conducted. The STRAP 2015 campaign has become possible thanks to a strong cross-disciplinary collaboration between volcanologists and meteorologists. The main observations during four eruptive periods (85 days) are summarized. Abstract Cultural foundations, beliefs and associated ritual practices delimit the relation to and the representation and lived experience of the body in specific ways. Language is the means through which the cultural specificity of both individual and shared mental content can be explored and worked with in therapy. This article presents beliefs about the body in a patient’s religion of origin and takes up the question of the role of the cultural dimension in psychosomatic phenomena. Soumise à une importante poussée démographique, l’île de La Réunion a vu sa population urbaine fortement augmenter – passant de 44 % de la population totale en 1975 à 95 % en 2015. Directement corrélée aux formes et dynamiques spatiales de l’urbanisation, l’empreinte lumineuse sur l’île a connu une mutation radicale ces dernières années : son emprise et sa pression ont considérablement augmenté sur l’ensemble du territoire, depuis la côte jusqu’à l’intérieur même du Parc national de La Réunion qui recouvre plus de 76 % du territoire insulaire (42 % pour la zone cœur). Research into pedagogy in museums underlines the double tranposition of the theory principles of the science media and of psycho-pedagogy. At stake is understanding why and how pupils can build their scientific learning in a museum environment. This present contribution will propose a reflection on this issue based on the example of the teaching of volcanism on Réunion Island. The analysis of interviews conducted with teachers in first schools and secondary schools shows to what extent the pupils benefit from a significant pedagogical impact in the framework of their visits to the thematic museum in Piton de la Fournaise. Sur la base d’une revue de la littérature et d’un corpus de quatorze entretiens semi-directifs, l’objet de cet article est de mettre en relation les facteurs de vulnérabilité du territoire réunionnais, ceux des personnes âgées de ce département français d’outre-mer ainsi que ceux éventuellement issus d’une mobilité résidentielle. Pour cela, une analyse macroscopique et une analyse individuelle sont proposées autour des facteurs de vulnérabilité dans les registres économiques, sanitaires, sociaux et environnementaux.
